Equally at home singing and playing in a quiet cafe or in front of a crowd, Roberta Lamb rocks to the beat of a variety of musical styles, from blues, pop, and Americana to chestnuts from the Great American Songbook. She picked her first guitar as a child in Texas and took to singing folk songs, Spanish traditional tunes, and ballads, and she soon came to love the strains of southern rock and blues as well.
Roberta honed her vocal craft as a classical musician, exploring concert singing and opera in Austria and later back home in the US, before returning to her first love: American music. She performs in Massachusetts and Rhode Island at a variety of venues, from bars to farmers markets to small concert stages, singing and playing her heart out. Her audiences respond to her sophisticated originals that are both touching and sometimes funny, with unexpected chord progressions and catchy tunes.
