Equally at home singing and playing in a quiet cafe or in front of a crowd, Roberta Lamb rocks to the beat of a variety of musical styles, from blues, pop, and jazz to Americana and her own version of roots music . She picked her first guitar as a child in Texas and took to singing folk songs, Spanish traditional tunes, and ballads, and she soon came to love the strains of southern rock and blues as well. Roberta honed her vocal craft as a classical musician, exploring concert singing and opera in Austria and later back home in the US, before returning to her first love: American music. Roberta’s songs range from witty and clever with a groove to impassioned ballads that touch close to the bone. No matter the song, she brings it straight to the heart with her clear, strong voice and her magnetic stage presence. Her fans describe her music as sophisticated, honest, sometimes humorous, sometimes bittersweet - and always beautifully performed. A native Texan, she’s based out of Rhode Island, and she can be found performing gigs at cafes, clubs, listening rooms, folk festivals, farmers markets and wherever artists share their voices across the US and now, since Covid-19, in Israel, the UK and Germany, so far.
